Mummy and Daddy!
Hello :D Remember how the past three days have been glorious!!!! Why you ask?....one word: SUN! Oh how I miss the sun. Pretty sure that's why the English have permanent scowls slapped all the day long. They have no sun to smile about! :D Oh it was glorious! Sister Terry and I stopped MULTIPLE TIMES, sunflowered towards the sun, and absorbed as much as we could! We even exposed our hands to the wind just to soak up a few more rays! Glorious!
We had all sorts of highlights this week. First of all, Glen's miracle. So....Saturday came and it was time for his Baptismal interview with my district leader, Elder Balls....yes that is his name...he gives you full permission to giggle....in any case. Elder Balls was at the chapel....waiting. We still had to go fetch Glen from his flat. For whatever reason, I was anxious that Glen wasn't going to be there. Each step we walked, the anxiety level bumped up a few notches....What if he's not there!?!??! I told Sister Terry after we said a little prayer that I wouldn't be completely calm until I heard Glen yell, "WHO IS IT?!" When we approached the bottom of his steep teeter totter stairs, this wave suppressed all my worries, and I clinked in slow mo up to his landing....
*knock knock*
..........................................
*knock knock knock*
....................................................
"WHO IS IT!?" *the spirit flared inside me!* BAM! MIRACLE! NEXT!
"SISTERS!"
"Wait a minute"
I literally jumped for joy....nearly tumbled to my death in the process, but I cannot tell you how happy I was to hear his silly voice! We bumbled over to the chapel, quizzing him all the way.
"What's the Word of Wisdom?
.....keeping the faith, following in the steps of Jesus......
No....not quite.....What's the law of chastity?
Law of chasity?....law of chastity....no homosexual relations....no mind....I couldn't ever be gay...not with my legs." hahahahaha oh Glen. He had his interview. All we could hear was Elder Balls laughing all the time. I tell you Glen has some great one liners! BUT HE PASSED! Glen has a testimony of the Savior that knocks everyone's socks off! He's getting baptized next Saturday! WHoo! BAM! MIRACLE! NEXT! He has made such a transformation from October til now. On Wednesday Nights he goes to St. John's church for "companionship" and he announced to everyone there that he's getting baptized in the Mormon church. "You should get baptized in our church Glen!" "No....because I believe in that church....I don't believe in your church." :D BAM! SMACK DOWN! Way to go Glen, Goofy Glen, Golden Glen, Double N Glenn! We're really proud of him.BAM! MIRACLE! NEXT!
In other news, our recent convert, Neil Stocken officially received the Aaronic Priesthood!!!!!! Sister Terry and I weren't permitted to be there...why? who knows....whatever I'm not bitter, point is, he got it and he's so excited about it!
What else funny happened? Oh yeah...we were knocking some doors yesterday, and this angry hobo answered the door spitting, "What is with this rapping on my door! Get off my property! Go! Rapping on my door!" hahahahaha...Oh my bad....I suppose I didn't realize that doors aren't meant to be rapped upon. We knocked on the next door, and found English Fabio....purple plaid shirt open to reveal the matted carpet beneath, with his pipe cleaner hair blown by unseen wind.
"Do you have a friend that we can visit?"
"Yes...you can visit next door(motioning to the hobo's house) ...his name's David. He'll really appreciate a visit."
"Ok, great thanks"
*Door slams*
"English Fabio was gonna sick David on us!" hahahahah oh....don't you love strange people! I certainly do! :D
Well transfers are coming up, and I'm pretty sure it's my time to leave Worksop...unfortunately. Everyone tells me I've been spoiled in Worksop, which is probably true. I keep finding myself going through my things, and naturally packing stuff up. Sister Terry and I both had a dream last night about me leaving....pretty sure it's time. It feels right. Anyways....I'll keep you posted! I love you so much! Thanks for all the joy and Joyness. Your emails always make me tinkle....even more than that little puppy you baby sat. :D hahah Write Soon
Love always and forever,
Your Sister White

Worksop January 2011
Mummy and Daddy,
Good to see ya....looking good! :D A few highlights from this week. :D First of all...I cannot say anything until I tell about the miracle of Goofy Glen...the stinky cheese man. Remember how Goofy Glen is a silly soul. I met him with Sister Owen back in October. Every time we taught him he'd go through is little, "Where've you been today then girls." routine, then we'd teach him......nothing stuck...we felt like we were teaching a brick wall most times....a giggly brick wall, but a brick wall none the less. I've watched him transform! For the longest time he wouldn't give up the drink or cigarettes. Then one day, he stopped "nipping to the pub to stay warm," he started soaking in more of the info, and his testimony got stronger and stronger. Two nights ago he FINALLY gave up his attitude of "all men have their vices," and he let us take his "ornaments" (aka the rest of his tobacco pouches and his crystal ashtrays!!!! fret not...they went in the bin, but I must admit it was exciting for Sister Terry and myself....we've never taken that off of someone before! We felt so powerful) Do you know how big that is!!!!!??? He's going strong and he's scheduled for baptism is a couple weeks! I'm so proud of him!!!!! BAM! MIRACLE! NEXT!
I received my T-book entry from Sister Owen this week. You must be saying, "T-book? What is that pray tell." Well....It's a Testimony Book....long story short...it's a scrapbook...and we all know how I feel about that.....scrapbooking gives me gas. So as part of this long standing tradition, I've had to scrapbook against my will BAM! MIRACLE! NEXT!...no worries....I've downed the Gas-X :D It's been fun to look back, in picture form, and watch my mutation from young lady to urchin :D Sometimes I fear the reaction of those behind closed doors....especially at night time....*Knock knock* *door creaks open* "Hello there....I am a missionary, and I have a wonderful message for you." They open the door expecting a pleasant conversation, and what do they discover?.... the crypt keeper :D BAH!! hahahah i'm being dramatic....but not... you should see me. :D BUT!!! That just goes to show how true this all is...people STILL listen to me even though I'm an urchin :D BAM! MIRACLE! NEXT!
What else happened this week? OH! I felt and listened to my first baby ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My recent convert Shane and his wife Kim are having a baby, and Shane, being the technology whiz that he is, rigged up this device so that Sister Terry and I could listen to the little bun in the oven! BAM! MIRACLE! NEXT! WOW! Isn't that whole baby thing wacky? Wow! Amazing!
In other news, Sister Terry passed her driving test!! BAM! MIRACLE NEXT! no....she's a great driver...and she had a phenomenal teacher....of whom shall remain nameless :D heh heh....don't want to toot me own horn :)
BUT the icing on the cake.....Bishop Holt announced in Sacrament meeting that my boy, Neil Stocken is getting the priesthood! MY JOY IS FULL! :D I was so proud! He's getting it next Sunday so I'll keep you posted :D. Oh....Being a missionary is so amazing! Even when I feel like I've been bowled over by a steamroller the majority of the time....it's still incredible! Think of it...I only have one year to drink from the glass of concentrated miracles!....no water added! IT is going by too fast! I NEED MORE TIME! SO MUCH TO DO!!!!! BAH! :D I just want you to know how true this Church is! It really has been restored and the more I read the personal accounts of what happened the more I cannot doubt that this church is the church of Jesus Christ on the Earth again. It really is amazing! I love being a missionary! I love you all so much! Thank you for the laughs and the support. You don't know how much they mean to me. MMMMWAH!
Love always and forever,

Worksop January 2011
Hiya Mummy and Daddy,
My goodness this week has gone by so fast! I feel a frantic need to
get all these pictures to you, and I'm rapidly running out of time and
they won't load, so hopefully something will happen, but I just wanted
to tell you quickly about Mark's baptism.....oh....it was so glorious!
His non-member mother, wife and best friend showed up, and throughout
the whole service, Mark and his mother had little streams of happiness
bubbling down their cheeks. BAM! MIRACLE! NEXT! Sister Terry and I
had a very proud moment when our recent convert, Neil Stocken, spoke!
He said wonderful things about Mark, but more importantly he bore such
and incredible testimony! I was blown away.....splattered on the back
wall.....oh wonderful!! Mark was overcome with the spirit as he
entered the water. We waited for a moment so he didn't drown
underwater :D It was AMAZING! Now we just need his wife....it's really
only a matter of time.....which I feel I’m rapidly running out of!
BAH! :D
What else? Oh Sister Terry and I met with a lady from Zimbabwe that
paused every so often and rebuked the evil spirits that insist on
following us all day. She proper screamed at the
ceiling.....yeah.....interesting night :D
At family home evening at David Baxter's house, we put on the whole
armor of God and then the devil bombarded us with his fiery darts...I
was quite fierce some, till someone asked me a question and Sister
Terry's impeccable aim beaned me in the eye ball with a fiery dart.....
No worries :D I'm sure I'll regain my sight at some time in the near
future :D and the bruise makes for a lovely conversation piece :D
so...ALL IS WELL. We rang in the New Year with the best of
them....with our little trumpets :D I have a good feeling about 2011.
We all know how I feel about odd numbers! I can't believe I'm nearly
1/3rd of the way done with my mission! A year from now, I'll be
preparing to come home! A year ago I was chugging through all the
mission paperwork! Weird....where does the time go!!!! SO MUCH TO DO
AND SO LITTLE TIME! :D I just want to tell you how much I love you and
how proud I am to call you family! I'm so lucky that you're mine :D
mmmmmwah!
Talk to you soon. let me know if you get the pictures and thank you so
so so much for longies! bless!
Love always and forever your,
Sister White

I love this woman. Rose slapped the beard on her head and sported it for the rest of the evening. * Let us all keep in mind that she's 64, plays XBOX Kinect games...like the Wii... She dresses up and she has the most fun of anyone anywhere! She's mint!
