Mummy and Daddy
Do I have news for you.....I Sister Stephanie White am being TRANSFERRED!!!?!?!?! WHAT?!??! Truth. I got the news last night. It was bound to happen sometime. I'm leaving the land of milk and honey and going into the unknown .......commonly known as Horbury.....to follow up train Sister Delucchi!!!! WHOO! Funny story....she's my stalker. Even funnier story.....she tells me that every time I see her, "Hi, remember how I stalked you !"hahaha. She's way cute and we'll have a good time together. She'll have to teach me the ways of the buses. Sister Taylor will be getting Sister Alidi. She's a fiery chick from Botswana! They'll do well here in Wharfe Valley.
We saw A TON of miracles this week. We met a lot of really neat people and we really felt like we were led by Heavenly Father to meet these people. There was a middle-aged lady who searched for "the truth" since age 13! We've found several people who lost spouses this past month, many of which are meeting with the Jehovah's Witnesses for some sort of spiritual guidance. We found people who were crazy interested in the Book of Mormon and people who are searching for a church to attend. We sang at people right and left, and it was amazing to see how their countenances shifted from "I'd rather chew off your thumb than listen to you sing at me".......to...... "What is this!?" One especially bleak day, this man ushered us onto his patio, out of the public earshot, for our song. As he sat there, lounged on his garden bench, we sang....and I kid you not......one solitary ray of sunshine poked through the clouds and spotlighted this man and his bench....nothing else! At the end of the song he said, "I nearly had an epiphany just then.....nearly." JUST BELIEVE PEOPLE!!!! JUST BELIEVE!!! In other exciting news Jonny Kelk accepted the invitation to be baptized...why?...."Because I want to do it for my family. I want to do it for myself. I want to do it because it's the right thing to do." MIRACLES!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh! We also had Specialized Training this week where the missionaries competed to see who knew Preach My Gospel principles the best. I may or may not have won it for my "age group" (out a year or less). The prize: a box of Cap'n Crunch!!!!! Now you might be saying, "Big deal...a box of cereal. Whoop-dee-doo"....I don't think you quite understand the magnitude of this prize....... We can't get Cap'n Crunch here. It's non-existent here. The most exciting cereal we can get is literally "Wheetabix Fruit and Fiber".....my friends, I received a box of pure GOLD!!!! I literally beat people back with my large shoes :D "UNHAND ME RUFFIANS!!!!"
Well, I'd best love you and leave you. I have to ram my body into my suitcases to make my junk fit, and I need to say tra-la to a few people. I just can't tell you how much I love this mission. I am so so soooo grateful for the Holy Ghost and I cannot adequately express how appreciative I am when I receive His help. I love my Heavenly Father so much and I'm grateful for the opportunities He gives me to grow and improve. I am so incredibly grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ. I know that He IS my Savior! I feel it! I rely so heavily on the Atonement's ability to make up the difference...to help me become better...to give me comfort. I wish I was better at explaining these impressions I feel, but I do want you to know that this work I am doing is truly the work of the Lord...I feel that so deeply. Thank you for letting me be here! I love you so much!
Love always and forever,
Your Sister Stephanie White

Mummy and Daddy,
This week has been interesting.... :D hahaha
Business Item # 1: I feel like death....The past week I've been back and forth from the flat....feeling conflicted that I should be out working. It's no good staring at the springs in the bed above me thinking......I should be out working.....Everyone tells me I'm crazy. Go home and rest! BAH!
I feel conflicted! hahahha. There are people to find! These are the last days...we don't have time to rest hahaha (inside joke).
Sister Lindley thinks I may have some sort of virus or nasty sinus infection. Doctors send me away to let it run its course..... Anyways...that's been interesting.
We had a few major highlights of the week despite illness. We had a branch "60's and 70's Do." Where people dressed up, played games, celebrated and had a good time. Rose, Kevin and Sara showed up in all their glory!!!! They officially rock my world! We all had such a fun time there! BAM! MIRACLE! I'll let the pictures do most of the talking in that department.
We were out finding in the wind and rain, and we felt like we needed to trot over to this street and knock about. As we were knocking, This young guy pushing a pram squeaked past us. Off I went ka-kunking my way down the hill after him in my clogs. "Hello There! Oiy!" He sat there and chatted with us for quite some time, but when it came to taking the Book of Mormon....he was really hesitant..."A part of me is really really tempted to take it....but a part of me is unsure." GO WITH THE GUT FEELING! We tried setting up an appointment with him...again...still hesitant.
Well...when do you have some free time?
I have about an hour right now...you can come to my house now if you'd like!
Done!
We trekked to Robert's house...because that is his name. The Brits definitely can kick it into top gear when they want to. Huffing and puffing, we made our way inside and taught him about the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ while his two year old, Eva clanked about and loaded us with all sorts of toys. How have you felt as we've talked with you about this?
How have I felt?... The feeling is kind of overwhelming.
Can you describe physically how it feels?
Warm...peaceful....powerful..
Robert, you my friend are experiencing the Holy Ghost! His job is to testify of truth. He is telling you that what we've taught you is true!
...wow....
BAM! MIRACLE! Isn't that amazing!!! Heavenly Father is so good to us! Wow....
I'm so glad I get to be out here!!!!!....wow....miracle!
I love you so much!!!! Thank you so much for all you do!!!!
Love always and forever,
Me

What a week we've had. Zone conference...my scratch and sniff stickers were a big hit! AND they sang to me for my birthday! Birthdays on the mission rock...it's always your birthday! :D hahahaha We talked about the importance of the Book of Mormon....it really set the tone for our whole week....
I met this man named Oliver. I talked for him a bit...he was getting pretty heated with me...he told me he had terminal cancer. He's had so many chemo treatments it's unbelievalbe! Ten chemo treatments is considered high. He's had 67! He's almost hit the record he said, but he yelled, shaking his blistered and cracked hands at me, "Why would he put me through this?!". Little Tyler Kelk came over and said, "Sister White, I said a prayer that I would see you today....look! I'm seeing you!" I introduced him to Oliver.
My friend Oliver is sick?
Oh...what's wrong with you?
I have cancer.
Oh...that's a bummer....what's your full name? I will pray for you.
Oh what a sweet lad. Thank you. My name is Oliver.
What is your surname?
You pray for Oliver and God will know who I am.
Tyler scampered off, and I continued to speak with Oliver. He told me his life story. As always, I shared things I knew about God and about why we go through hard things. He looked at me...all welled up, and said, I FEEL your faith.....thank you thank you....what can I do to repay you. Do you take money for charity?
No
I must do something for the way you've lifted my spirits today.
Take my book and read it...but most importantly pray about it
I will! I will definitely do that!
BAM! MIRACLE!
Let me tell you about what's happening with Jonny Kelk. We had a really good talk with him the other day. He basically poured out his little soul to us (let's talk about your childhood....no....let's talk about YOUR childhood :D.) Anyways it got to the point where he said he was fed up of drinking and smoking......then why do you do it? "It's this house! There's so much junk everywhere...it drives me to do it!" We shall clean it!!!!! So Sister Taylor and I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned. :D I got all sorts of chuck-happy. It feels good to throw things out. It felt like repentance in action. Get rid of all the junk in your lives people!!!!! BE FREE! LIVE! :D We sorted out a corner, with this bookshelf (it looks like a big grid...approximately 12 cubby holes) and their really neat art books. I got all spatial and decorator on them...we stood back and they were chuffed to bits. You should have seen the looks on their faces.....summed up in one word.....hope.....hope that something better was possible. Something changed in that house that day....you could tell with the way they acted towards each other and the looks in their eyeballs. Sister Taylor and I got in the car, cranked "There Can Be Miracles When You Believe," and yelled it to the sky! BAM! MIRACLE! NEXT!!!!!
We got Jonny to a Book of Mormon Fireside!!!!! BAM! MIRACLE! NEXT!!!! There we got a hypothetical assignment...which you've probably heard before...but I will tell you anyways:
Pretend you are a 23 year old farmer...The only education you have you got while working on a farm.
Now...write a sensible history of Ancient America that spans 1000+ years
You can't do any research whatsoever.
You can't write it down...you must dictate it to someone.
It must be 531 pages long....300,000+ words....the equivalent of approximately 30 theses...keeping in mind that it takes a doctorate candidate roughly a year to write one thesis.
It must follow two nations...their separate histories and all aspects of their culture: geography, government, politics, society, religion, economics, transport, clothing, currency etc...
You must shift your writing style frequently so that it seems like others are writing.
Use the English Language in fancy ways-parables, allegories, similes, analogies, sentence structure of other languages...etc.
The book you write must fulfill prophecies in the Bible.
You must invent 200+ names that have never been heard before.
The book you write must inspire competent salespeople everywhere to devote 2 years of their lives, paying their own way, to distribute the book to complete strangers.
You must persuade a friend out of his livelihood just to get it published.
(I can't remember it all...it goes on from there...)
But Do it all in 60 days.
There is no way that Joseph Smith fabricated this book! It is true! Look at all the people who dedicate their lives....even are killed because of their testimony of the Book of Mormon. The promise in the Book of Mormon, to read, and to ask God if the book is true is a real promise...I've felt it. I've seen others feel it! It is a pure miracle that we have that book....I just wish more people recognized how incredibly important it is. BAM! MIRACLE! NEXT!
I love this!

Mummy and Daddy....
Remember how I actually spoke with you yesterday!?!?!!??!?!!?!? WHAT!?!??!!? Wow.....It was so so so so good to hear your voices. It brought all sorts flooding back.....oh yeah...that's what it's like :D I love you both so much. It was good just to be able to throw my head back and guffaw all the day long! Ahhhhhh....my people! I love them so.
Let's see...what's happened this week...Well! I was sent a gaggle of Cd's...which I told you about but I can't tell you how happy I am waking up to a banjo playing a pepped up version of "If You Could Hie to Kolob," AND "This Little Light of Mine!" hahahah My soul feeds off peppy music! Halleluyer! Praise the Lort! I was also sent Scratch and Sniff stickers that I've stuck on basically everything I can....All my jumpers have a slightly fruity aroma :D Success.
This week when Sister Taylor and I street contacted in Yeadon, Sara (Rose's Sara) sauntered over to Sister Taylor and testified the pants of the man with whom she was speaking! BAM! SHAZA-AM! MIRACLE! NEXT! (that was just to spice things up a bit) :D She was amazing!!!! Now....she just needs to get married! :D
We also celebrated Cinco de Mayo!!!! I'll let the pictures do the talking!
Oh AND we've decided to set up all sorts of "gatherings" throughout the week. I'd rather call them "Parties of Fun and Friendship" but somehow it doesn't seem right to have missionaries going to parties three times a week. :D hahahah we'll see how it goes. We had one on Saturday that went really well and we also have one tonight that we're really excited about. I'll keep you updated on our fun and friendship.
Everything is Wonderful in England!!!! I'm warm, happy and fed :D Being a missionary officially rocks my socks off my feet!
I love you so much! It was so good to hear your voices again!!!! You mean the world to me. Mom, I hope you had the best Mother's Day ever! You deserve it!
It's ok that you cried. I did too :D
Love always and forever,

Mummy and Daddy!
We had quite the week. I'm not quite sure where to begin. Let's work backwards
This week we painted Sister Sam Peel's stairway. I resisted every urge to dunk my head into the paint bucket and prance around!!!! I just swirled my hands in it instead! There's something so therapeutic about slapping paint on walls.
We also celebrated my 9 month mark...wow....can you believe I've served half of my mission already!?!??! I still feel like I'm brand new most days :D Wow...that came way too quick. Weird.
In other news, Miss Rose Cousins went to the temple this week with our branch and did baptisms for the dead for the first time...along with Mick and Joyce!!!!! WOW! I tell you...the people here in Wharfe Valley Branch do not mess about! They all loved every minute of it, and want to start their family history now. Sara and Kevin talk frequently about how much their looking forward to getting married, baptized and eventually sealed!!!! Wow! Miracles all around! I can't even handle it sometimes!
Yesterday, we went with some of the Elders to the Bradford International Media Museum! It was so beautiful! Talk about beautiful design...delicious birch wood everywhere...aqua glass.....colors....paint....photography....typefaces....stainless steel....interactive activities....beautiful papers and books!!!! Kid in a candy store right here!!!! There were seven floors of wonder and delight. One of which was a television floor where we did the weather forecast and casted the news :D The best P-day of my life!
We can't forget the Royal Wedding now can we. Everyone we talked with claimed that they were going to escape the wedding and go on holiday.....which was exactly what they did. There were so many cars on the road it was unbelievable! We had a lunch appointment with some members and they "carelessly" happened to leave the television on whilst we ate. So.... :D we saw snitbits of the wedding. Didn't you love her dress!!!! That's the only reason I wanted to see it! Oh I thought it was a nice mesh of traditional and modern. Let the record show that I called that she'd have her hair half up and half down, AND that she'd wear the queen's tiara. Thank you very much. I also really liked that they brought the live trees into Westminster Abbey...and all those hats! Ooooh I loved it.....I mean....I loved those miniscule snitbits I just happened to catch betwixt bites of pizza. :D It does make me sad every time they say "til death do ye part." bah! Learn the gospel! It doesn't have to be that way!!!!! What a miracle it is to know that those we love don't have to be separated from us...that we can live with them forever! Miracle! Heavenly Father is so good I can't even handle it!
I'm so excited to hear from you this week! I love you so so much! Thank you for letting me be here!
