Mummy and Daddy,
It's so good to hear from you. I really don't feel like a person should be so happy all the time, but I am. Even when people let us down, I'm still happy. The spirit does crazy things...I'm constantly sweaty and people tell me to put on gloves because my hands are so cold. :D I love the spirit.
We've had an interesting week....before I tell you....I need to tell you the ins and outs of Sister Starlene Owen. She's from Murray, UT and went to Cottonwood High *memories.* She's the youngest of four sisters and one brother. She loves weird skin....she's a dermatologist in training :D heh heh I love her so much. She has the memory of who knows what. I can ask her anything and she knows. She loves bananas, chunky peanut butter, and "Milo" (watered down hot chocolate) and hates "Shloer" (sparkling catawba grape stuff). heh heh We have way too much fun all the time. We sing at people ALL THE TIME and laugh about "Baby Mama." But most importantly, she has a testimony that will rock your world. Bless her.
This week we went to Matlock (heh heh that's right) to visit "The Heights of Abraham." We took a cable car ride up the side of a cliff to tour these caves, play on playground equipment (European playgrounds rock), and browse in the Fossil Shop :D fun fun.
The film crew has been following us about. I'm glad it's only for a week. There have been many a time when I think, "No, I am sorry...I will not walk down this hallway at a leisurely pace, pretending to have a deep conversation," or "yes, please, zoom in closer....I'll be sure to open wide while you pan across the nubbins wedged in my teeth." :D hahahha it's been fun though. It's been fun to see people seize up when the camera comes their way. Yeah...be sure to hold really still. If you don't move, they won't be able to see you :D hahahah.
The big miracle for the day, however, happened a couple nights ago. Sister Owen and I were walking home from an appointment. We passed by a former investigator's house. "Michelle lives there...should we visit her? I feel like we should visit her" "Sure, why not." We knocked on the door, and chatted with her for a bit. When the conversation turned religious.....things got really quiet.....We all just sat there in silence for what felt like mmmmm maybe ten minutes, but it really was about an hour plus. The three of us sat there, tears streaming down our faces as the spirit touched her little heart....finally she said, "What made you come tonight?" " We felt like we needed to." It was SO powerful. She is scheduled for the 9th of October!!!! Amazing! BAM! MIRACLE! NEXT!
Things are going so well here. As for things I need, I am in DIRE DIRE need of chapstick! None of this carmex or blistex stuff. I need brand name Chapstick...preferably the peppermint variety :D I honestly have said, "Ugghhhh! My lips hurt real bad!" The weather is getting chillier so we're going to fetch me a coat hopefully from Matalan. I'll keep you updated, but I love you sooooo much. I love being a missionary soooo much, and I can't thank you enough for letting me come out here. MMMMWWWAH! Talk with you soon.
Love
YOUR Sister Stephanie White
